Pairing

Had a nice time helping a couple pair a female winter white with one of my males last night.
7 months old pairing, I had several males along the same age and size standing by to let her choose. Mature pairings are always a challenge as each hamster would have developed fully in terms of sexual characteristics and personality. So typically I would be reluctant to sell a mature hamster without an actual pairing on the spot (the couple brought their girl for me to match). It is a service, but it is one that is necessary so no one brings home a hamster that at the end is incompatible.
I think it went well, and she found the man of her dreams...
The couple I met were nice too! So there's the added bonus. And the smiles on their faces showed they really loved their pets.
Sometimes that is more than enough, don't you think?
